This solid-state gyro-compensating inclinometer utilizes MEMs technology to precisely output the angular data to the J1939 bus. This device integrates multiple sensors and gyroscopes to provide very stable angle readings even in severe shock and vibration applications. -
SMP Trombetta’s J1939 gyro inclinometer is a device that can output precise angular data in harsh conditions where it is subject to vibration and shock. It relies on MEMS technology for accurate and stable readings from sensors and gyroscopes to the J1939 bus. The inclinometer is a versatile and configurable solution for everything from aerospace to construction applications. Here, we will explore the key features of the J1939 gyro inclinometer, the applications that depend on it, and the benefits it can provide.

The hall-effect rotational sensor, referred to as ‘the device’, transmits the sensed angle of rotation over a CAN network. This device uses a 6-pin Molex MX150 dual row style connector (Molex 33482-3601 equivalent). This device offers configurable zero point, deadband, and rotation limits for easier system integration. The configurations for the device are retained through power cycles. This device also offers configurable positive rotation direction using the addressing pins. The addressing pins also change the CAN-ID of the device, allowing multiple devices to be used on the same CAN network.

This module converts up to 6 RTD inputs into hexadecimal values and transmits them to the J1939 CAN bus. External wire connections allow for up to 4 Temp Sensor Modules to be addressed on a common CAN backbone to accommodate up to 24 RTD inputs. -
This standard gray LCD is built for a tough industrial vehicle environment and features LED backlighting that makes this display readable in sunlight with a wide viewing angle. -
This compact device converts J1939 messages to USB format. This adapter mimics the COMM port on a computer and functions at a bit rate of 250 kbps. -
A Sealed Bus Bar is a power distribution that eliminates corroded connection points and the potential for intermittent connections in the system. The Automotive Bus Bar’s main function is to transport and distribute power from the battery to the device. All integrated connections mate with Deutsch sealed automotive connectors to provide up to 60A or 100A bus connection points. The Trombetta family of sealed bus bars have an operating temperature range of -40C to 125C and are made for extreme duty conditions.
