Safety in the Workplace Policy

Telemation is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all workers (including contractors) as well as clients, visitors and members of the public.We aim to achieve this through the participation of, co-operation and commitment of everyone in the workplace.

The objectives of this policy are to, as far as reasonably practicable:

  • Achieve a safe and incident free workplace.
  • Consider WHS in project planning and work activities.
  • Involve workers and subcontractors in the decision-making process through regular communication consultation.
  • Ensure workers and subcontractors identify and control risks in the workplace.
  • Monitor and review the elimination or control of potential risks.
  • Enhance workers WHS knowledge through a program of education and training.
  • Establish and maintain a Health and Safety Management System with measurable objectives and targets that complies with ISO 45001.

Management will:

  • Ensure business complies with all legislation relating to health and safety.
  • Eliminate or minimise all workplace hazards and risks as far as is reasonably predictable .
  • Provide information, instruction and training to enable all workers to work safety.
  • Supervise workers to ensure work activities are performed safely.
  • Consult with and involve workers on matters relating to health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Provide appropriate safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
  • Provide a suitable injury management and return to work program.
  • Assess compliance, audit, and review the Health and Safety Management System to ensure its ongoing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.

Workers will:

  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety.
  • Follow safe work procedures, instructions and rules.
  • Participate in safety training.
  • Report health and safety hazards.
  • Report all injuries and incidents.
  • Use safe equipment and personal protective equipment as instructed.
